Early Career Salaries

We have researched data from 2016 for selected bachelor’s degrees and their average starting salaries for those 22-24 years old, graduated, and working full time. This data can provide a starting point for salary search by major. The 75th percentile is the threshold where above you are in the top 25% of earners for that major. The 25th percentile is the threshold that if you fall below you will be in the bottom 25% of earners. We also provided a feature where you can enter a rate at which the salaries can increase annually to give an estimate of what that major will pay on average in 2022. Typically, wages grow by 2-3%. This will help give an early idea to the class of 2022 of what their salary expectations could be. Data was gathered from the American Community Survey.

Salary data then can be used in both Calculators to determine how affordable your loans will be based on your financial situation. We highly recommend looking into how much graduates are earning based on major for a specific school, but this data provides a good starting point.
